Dependant's Pass for EP and S Pass Holders 2026: S$6,000 Salary Rule, Fees and Steps

Short answer: an Employment Pass or S Pass holder earning a fixed monthly salary of at least S$6,000 can bring a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 on a Dependant's Pass [MOM]. The employer or its appointed employment agent applies on myMOM's EP eService. Fees are S$105 per application and S$225 per pass on issue, plus S$30 per Multiple Journey Visa if needed. Most cases take within 3 weeks [MOM].

Eligibility
- The main pass holder holds an Employment Pass or S Pass [MOM].
- They earn a minimum fixed monthly salary of S$6,000. This is their own salary, not combined household income [MOM].
- They are sponsored by an established, Singapore-registered company, usually the employer [MOM].
Eligible family members are a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21, including legally adopted children. Family members who do not qualify may be eligible for a Long-Term Visit Pass instead [MOM].

Example (our arithmetic): a spouse and two children cost 3 × (S$105 + S$225) = S$990, before any Multiple Journey Visas. Fees can be paid by GIRO, Visa, Mastercard or Amex [MOM].
Documents
- Copy of the passport personal particulars page; children sharing a parent's passport also need the parent's page [MOM].
- Spouse: marriage certificate [MOM].
- Children: birth certificate showing the parents' names, or the adoption order [MOM].
- Foreign-born children aged 12 and below applying for a new pass: the Verification of Vaccination Requirements document from the Communicable Diseases Agency [MOM].
- Non-English documents: upload the original with an English translation as one file [MOM].
Step by step
- Apply. The employer or employment agent logs in to EP eService on myMOM, uploads documents and pays S$105 per application. Submit one application per family member, with the main pass application or later. Update the company's turnover for the past 3 years first [MOM].
- Wait for the result. Check status after 3 weeks; MOM emails within 3 weeks if more documents are needed [MOM].
- Receive the In-Principle Approval (IPA). It includes a pre-approved single-entry visa. The pass must be issued within 6 months for EP dependants or 2 months for S Pass dependants [MOM].
- Get the pass issued. With the family member in Singapore, the employer submits details in EP eService and pays S$225 per pass. A notification letter, valid for 1 month, lets them travel while waiting for the card [MOM].
- Register fingerprints and photo if told to. EP dependants go to the Employment Pass Services Centre within 2 weeks; S Pass dependants go to MOM Services Centre Hall C within 1 week, by appointment [MOM].
- Set up the digital pass in the SGWorkPass app with Singpass. The card is delivered within 5 working days after registration or document checks [MOM].
Points to watch
- Bring the family member in only after approval; MOM will not extend a visit pass that expires before the Dependant's Pass is issued [MOM].
- Babies born in Singapore get a 6-week Special Pass from ICA, during which you can apply [MOM].
