Year-one cost (our own arithmetic, SSM fees only)
RM50 name reservation + RM1,000 incorporation = RM1,050 to set up. Each year after: RM150 annual return + RM50 audited financial statements = RM200 to SSM. Professional fees for the company secretary, auditor and tax agent are usually much larger than this; ask for quotes.
Sdn Bhd or enterprise?
An enterprise registered under the Registration of Businesses Act costs RM30 to RM60 a year (see our SSM business registration guide), but income is taxed on the owner at personal rates. A Sdn Bhd costs more to run and is taxed at company rates. Which is better depends on your profit and plans; this is not advice.
How to incorporate

- Prepare director, shareholder and address details and the company secretary appointment.
- Apply through SSM's MyCoID system and pay the incorporation fee [SSM ROC table of fees].
