How to Check Your PTPTN Loan Balance and Repay Online (myPTPTN, FPX, JomPAY, EPF)
Last verified: 28 October 2026 against PTPTN's repayment page and FAQ. Short answer: log in to myPTPTN and go to Perkhidmatan → Bayaran Balik Pinjaman to see your balance [PTPTN]. Pay in myPTPTN (no charge listed), or via JomPAY, bank sites, e-wallets, counters or salary deduction. Pay by the 27th so it shows in that month's statement [PTPTN].

When repayment starts
PTPTN says you must start repaying 12 months after your loan ends, without waiting for a repayment notice. On Ujrah loans the monthly fee (ujrah, 1% a year flat) starts in month 13; paying earlier avoids it for that period [PTPTN].
| Ujrah principal | Standard repayment period | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Up to RM10,000 | 60 months (5 years) | [PTPTN] |
| Over RM10,000 to RM22,000 | 120 months (10 years) | [PTPTN] |
| Over RM22,000 to RM50,000 | 180 months (15 years) | [PTPTN] |
| Over RM50,000 | 240 months (20 years) | [PTPTN] |
Because ujrah is a flat rate, the effective cost differs from the headline. Compare with the flat rate to EIR calculator.

Using EPF Akaun 2 savings
PTPTN says EPF Akaun II withdrawals can repay PTPTN loans for a member's or a member's child's diploma-or-higher studies, applied for online via KWSP e-Pengeluaran with an i-Akaun [PTPTN FAQ]; its guide puts processing at about 7–14 working days [PTPTN guide]. Note that KWSP has since restructured its accounts; check the current account name with KWSP. Need i-Akaun? See our registration guide.
Documents and what you need
- MyKad (myPTPTN registration accepts MyKad only) [PTPTN FAQ]
- A Malaysian mobile number and email for TAC codes
- Online banking, card or e-wallet for payment
Can't keep up?
Paying less than your instalment creates arrears and can lead to enforcement. PTPTN offers restructuring (instalments of about 5%–8% of gross income, period up to age 60) through myPTPTN; the first restructure has no processing fee, then RM50, RM100, RM150 and RM200 [PTPTN]. Long arrears can lead to a travel ban – see our PTPTN travel ban guide.
