The free calculators on Talreon answer one question at a time: what margin a price gives you, how long a debt takes to clear, or what hourly rate covers your costs. The templates are for people who want to keep those numbers in one place and come back to them every week or month. Each one is a spreadsheet that works in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, so you can save it, edit it and keep your own copy without an account on Talreon.
- Product Pricing & Margin Planner is for small sellers, makers and online shops. It keeps markup, margin, discounts, platform commission and break-even volume side by side, so you can see how a promotion or a fee change affects profit on each product. It pairs with the free margin and markup calculators.
- Debt Payoff Planner is for anyone paying off several cards or loans. List each balance, rate and minimum payment, then compare paying the highest rate first (avalanche) with paying the smallest balance first (snowball).
- Freelancer Rate & Tax Planner is for freelancers and contractors. It works backwards from the take-home income you want, your expenses and your non-billable time to a minimum hourly and day rate, and shows how much to set aside for tax. US users can check the self-employment tax part against the free self-employment tax calculator.
- Budget & Savings Goal Planner is for households. It tracks a monthly budget, checks it against the 50/30/20 split, and shows how long each savings goal will take at your current rate.
What you get
- A spreadsheet file you can open in Excel or copy into Google Sheets. There is no subscription and nothing to log in to.
- Input cells that are clearly marked, with formulas kept on separate, labelled cells so they are easy to check.
- Instructions on the first sheet and a worked example you can overwrite with your own figures.
- The same formulas used in the matching free calculator, so the results line up with what you see on Talreon.
How buying works right now
Each template page shows its price in US dollars and how to order. At the moment most templates are ordered by email: you send a short request, receive an invoice, and get the file by email once payment arrives. Instant card checkout is not live for every template yet, and each template page says which options are open. If anything is unclear before you buy, email support@talreon.com and ask. The file formats, what is included and the price are listed on each template page, so check that page before you order.
What the templates are not
The templates are planning tools. They don't connect to your bank, they don't file taxes for you, and they are not financial, tax or legal advice. Tax set-aside figures are rough planning estimates based on the rates you enter. Confirm your actual obligations with your tax authority or a qualified adviser, especially if you work across borders.
Try the free tools first
Every template has a free calculator beside it. If a single answer is all you need, the calculator is enough and costs nothing. Browse all calculators or the guides to see how the formulas work before deciding whether a reusable workbook would save you time.
