How to Check Your CCRIS Report for Free (eCCRIS) and Where CTOS Fits

Last verified: 28 October 2026 against Bank Negara Malaysia's CCRIS page. Short answer: You can view your own CCRIS report online for free through BNM's eCCRIS portal [BNM]. Malaysians with MyKad and internet banking can register online; others register at a CCRIS kiosk in an AKPK office or apply through BNMTELELINK [BNM]. CTOS is a separate, private credit reporting agency.

Talreon is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), AKPK or CTOS. This page explains the process in our own words; the agency's own website and notices are the final word.

What CCRIS is

CCRIS (Central Credit Reference Information System) is owned and run by Bank Negara Malaysia. It collects credit information from participating financial institutions, and the report shows a borrower's repayment history for the past 12 months [BNM]. BNM notes it is only one of several sources lenders use when assessing a financing application [BNM].

Where CTOS fits

CTOS is a private credit reporting agency, not part of BNM. Its site invites you to register for free [CTOS], but what is free and what is paid can change, so check CTOS's current terms before you sign up. A CTOS report can include information beyond CCRIS, such as data from public records, so the two reports may not look the same.
