How to Withdraw EPF Akaun Fleksibel Savings in Malaysia
Check the account and your details first
KWSP (EPF) allows eligible members to apply to withdraw savings from Akaun Fleksibel (Flexible Account). This guide summarizes the official process; it does not recommend withdrawing retirement savings. A withdrawal reduces the amount left invested for retirement.
Who can apply
KWSP lists these core requirements for Akaun Fleksibel withdrawals:
- You are below age 55.
- You have savings in Akaun Fleksibel.
- Your requested withdrawal is at least RM50.
- You provide an active savings or current bank account registered in your own name. KWSP does not accept a joint or company account for this payment.
Additional requirements and application channels can vary by membership status. Non-Malaysian members should check the current KWSP rules that apply to them.
How to apply
1. Check your Akaun Fleksibel balance in the official KWSP i-Akaun app or member portal. 2. Decide the amount and consider how taking it out affects your longer-term savings and cash needs. 3. Apply through the KWSP i-Akaun app, i-Akaun Member web portal, or an EPF office, following the current prompts. 4. Enter an active bank account in your own name and review the details carefully before submitting. 5. Save the application acknowledgement and monitor the official app or portal for status and payment updates.
KWSP says supporting documents are generally not required for this withdrawal, but an active bank account number must be provided. Follow any additional request shown in your own application.
Before you confirm
- The minimum is RM50, and your available balance limits what you can request.
- KWSP says an approved application cannot be cancelled. Double-check the amount and receiving account before confirming.
- Avoid sharing your password, TAC or i-Akaun Secure approval with anyone. Apply only through KWSP's official channels.
- If you are unsure about eligibility, use KWSP's official help or visit an EPF office.
